Owner of Hipnotic Bellydance and principal teacher, Tamara believes a thorough understanding of the fundamental movements of Belly Dance is essential for the student's continued enjoyment and development. Her unique style of teaching gives dancers the freedom to express themselves within the genre, by learning how to move with ease and feel the music. Passionate about Bellydance, Tamara enjoys sharing her knowledge with others and offers warmth and encouragement to all her students, from beginners to advanced dancers.

Tamara incorporates her study of Safe Dance Practices (QUT – Creative Industries) and Pilates, to provide safe, fun and energetic dance classes. Students learn how to execute the movements in a way that maximises their physical benefits.

At more advanced levels, classes/workshops explore musical interpretation, use of zills and props (veils, canes) and performance skills. While choreography is taught as a learning tool and to prepare for student performance opportunities, Tamara's main focus is to enable and encourage students to enjoy the dance.

Active and Healthy ParksImproved posture, confidence and self- esteem are some of the benefits of learning Belly dance, plus a deeper appreciation of the feminine grace and beauty within all women.

“I first saw Tamara dance several months before commencing classes with her and was totally entranced by her performance skills and professionalism. I had been Bellydancing for a few years but had stopped as I was disappointed that my dance skills were not progressing. After resuming lessons under Tamara's tutelage I became a better, more confident dancer and I am now more passionately in love with the dance than ever.   She gives the beginner an excellent start, and for the more advanced student, provides an excellent opportunity to improve her skills.” Maree Millard – former student now teacher.
